Residents living in Bicester will show how much they support soldiers by raising money for Help for Heroes over the coming weeks.
The local council is hosting a Battle Proms event in honour of the charity on September 3rd, with the band of the Royal Logistic Corps headlining the occasion.
Susan Mackrell, chief officer of Bicester Town Council, says the event is "incredibly exciting".
Colonel Angus Mathie, Commander at Bicester Garrison, comments: "The work [Help for Heroes] has done and continues to do for our injured service personnel and their families makes an enormously beneficial impact on their lives in what is always a very traumatic time."
Traditional classical songs will be sung during a firework finale of the event and TV auctioneer Charlie Ross, who has starred in the BBC's Flog It, is the compere.
The town has hosted similar occasions in the past, but it is hoped this year will be bigger than ever and raise plenty of money for the chosen charity.
Help for Heroes aims to assist those injured while on duty and was established by Bryn and Emma Parry in 2007.
