Nearly £3,000 has been raised for Help for Heroes (H4H) by a group of intrepid walkers.
Friends from Coatbridge braved difficult conditions to complete the West Highland Way, the Airdrie and Coatbridge Advertiser reports.
The men were joined on the 96-mile trek by soldiers from the 32 Signal Regiment (Volunteers).
Fundraiser Tom Kerr said of the decision to support a military charity: "We chose H4H because of the contacts some of our party have in the armed services and because it is a really great cause."
H4H Lanarkshire co-ordinator Chic Doyle was delighted to receive the cheque for £2,704.41, labelling the donation as fantastic and he praised everyone who took part in the walk.
One of those involved, Coatbridge resident Davy McGuire, suffered a bad fall and had to be airlifted away in order to receive treatment, with the group joking it meant they were able to get the RAF involved as well.
