Golf enthusiasts have helped raise cash that is to go towards aiding the recovery of individuals injured while serving their country.
Members of the Vale Golf Club seniors team took part in a number of fundraising activities at the club in Bishampton, which is near Pershore, the Evesham Journal reports.
The group managed to generate £924 for the Help for Heroes cause and the money was collected on behalf of the charity by Worcestershire group coordinator Major Ian Baldry.
Upon receiving the donation, Major Baldry paid his thanks to the club's senior captain Brian Bickley, as well as the other players involved.
He said: "The money donated by the Vale seniors will specifically be used to fund the Individual Recovery Programme for members of the Armed Forces."
Tony Preston, whose son Jordan has experienced life on the front line in Afghanistan, recently took on the challenge of climbing The Rake at Ramsbottom in an effort to generate funds for Help for Heroes.
