German man builds replica Flintstones car

The Flintstones is a great cartoon, famous for Fred's catchphrase Yabba Dabba Do.

However, one man from Germany has taken his love of the show a bit too far by recreating the famous car.

Sebastian Trager, who is a car engineer by trade, went to painstaking effort to build a replica of the Flintstone mobile.

Unfortunately for him, German authorities are not too impressed with his custom-built motor and they have banned from driving it on the roads.

"We copied every last detail. I work in car construction and love working with cars so it is perfectly safe," Mr Trager told the Metro.

It must have been gutting for him, but I can see why they don't want a car on the road that has no windscreen.

So it looks like it's a case of Yabba Dabba Don't for Mr Trager, who will just have to enjoy the vehicle from the comfort of his own home.
