An ex-soldier has moved into the world of comedy in a bid to raise plenty of money to help his former colleagues in the forces.
Sebastian Miles was a member of the British Army for 22 years, but since retirement he has been hitting the stage in a series of fundraising performances, reports the Birmingham Mail.
His first three shows in London raised a total of £30,000, and now he is bringing his comedy night to Birmingham for the first time.
Stand Up For The Heroes will take place at the Glee Club on April 20th and all of the money raised from the performance will be donated to Help for Heroes.
It is a far cry from his days on the front line, but Mr Miles is keen to continue to do his bit for those serving the country.
Talking about his military days, he said: "I saw some very distressing things. In Afghanistan, I was in charge of the Shawqat Forward Operating Base in Helmand Province, a large camp in the mountains, right on the front line."
