A former soldier has started walk around the coast of mainland UK to raise money for the Help for Heroes charity.
Lee Corbett, who lost a friend during fighting in Iraq, began his 2,500-mile mission on Monday and is joined by his mate Jonny Kelsall.
The duo are hoping to cover 30 miles everyday, joined by their trusty sidekicks Taz and Suki – their pet dogs.
Speaking to the North Wales Pioneer, Mr Corbett said that before he began the journey, he was met by Theresa Evans, the mum of his friend Llywelyn, who lost his life in Iraq in 2003.
Ms Evans told the newspaper: "I was choked up when Lee said he would keep Llywelyn’s picture with him. I am really proud. Hopefully people will be generous. The funds raised are so important."
The wives of troops from the Swanton Morley-based Light Dragoons have come together to pose for a fundraising calendar, with many copies already sold, papers from the Archant Regional group have reported.
