A fish with a strange fondness for prawn cocktail crisps will not eat the potato snacks again after they turned it an unusual shade of pink.
The Giant Gourami is currently being weaned off Skips after developing too much of a liking for their taste.
Staff at the Sea Life London aquarium have vowed to cut down on the fish's unhealthy eating habits after noticing it was slightly pink in colour.
At its previous home, the fish had been fed Skips – something that led to it rejecting the aquarium's food until employees realised.
Curator Jamie Oliver explained: "Gouramis usually eat a diet of fruit and vegetation but fortunately Gerty doesn't appear to have suffered any ill effects from her unhealthy addiction. However, we would not recommend feeding fish crisps of any kind."
He went on to note the aquarium is delighted to have now found a home for the fish where it will be fed properly.
