Elvis Presley’s pants to fetch £10k at auction

How much do you think a pair of soiled underpants would cost?

Personally, I would not be willing to spend much money on them, but a pair belonging to Elvis Presley are expected to fetch £10,000 when they go under the hammer later this month.

They were worn by the king back in 1977 and the owner has framed them and left them in their original condition since then.

The auction, which is being held in Stockport, Greater Manchester, marks 35th years since the passing of Presley and there will be other items of note involved.

Personal home video footage and Elvis' bible are also going under the hammer, with the passage "What is a man advantaged if he gain the whole world and lose himself or be cast away," highlighted.

Normally, I would imagine a pair of dirty pants would fail to get people excited, but Elvis is a bit of a different story.
