Doggy hotel to open in New York

Do you like to treat your dog to the finest things in life?

If so, then you'll be delighted with the opening of a new hotel for canines next month in New York.

As ludicrous as it sounds, pooches are to be spoiled with double beds, flat screen TVs and nice calming decor.

Investor Shawn Hassanzadeh explained: "As a New Yorker, when you go on vacation and you stay in a fabulous hotel, with fabulous services, your dog is staying in a fabulous hotel with fabulous services."

There is also a dog-friendly gym, so your pet can work out and stay in shape.

It does not come cheap though, as a luxury rooms will cost €200 (£130) a night, although a more basic option is available for $79 (£50).

If you have the spare money, then it might seem like a reasonable way to spend it and make sure your pooch is happy.
