Dancers at a club in Tilehurst have come together to raise a significant amount of cash for military charity Help for Heroes.
Denton Dancing and Social Club held a number of fundraising events last year and managed to put together about £8,000 in the process, reports the Reading Post.
It means the club has now donated in the region of £32,000 to the charity over the last four years, as a result of a number of fundraisers.
Molly Denton, whose daughter Lorraine was killed in 1979, leading to the beginning of the dancing club in her memory, said: "From our sadness we have tried to bring happiness to other people. Many who have lost a loved one come to our club to make new friends."
Anybody over the age of 30 is welcome to join the club in order to pursue their passion for dance, with the group specialising in a variety of dances, including Latin, ballroom and modern.
