A couple have collected over £1,000 for Help for Heroes by driving all the way to Mongolia.
Nathan Taylor and his girlfriend Alison Dowse took part in the Mongol Rally earlier in the year, the Borehamwood Times reports.
It took them six weeks to complete the 10,000-mile journey and the pair have only just returned home.
Mr Taylor remarked the reason for choosing the charity was because "they do so much good work for so many people in [a] wide range of areas".
He admitted to being elated when he crossed the finish line, adding he got to see some spectacular sights along the way.
The intrepid travellers took a Suzuki Jimny through central Europe, Russia and Kazakhstan before finally reaching their destination.
They were also able to raise money for a local orphanage in Mongolia by selling their vehicle once they got there.
Since 2004, nearly £2 million has been collected for charities by the teams taking part in the Mongol Rally.
