Council called by man being ‘harassed by a frog’

A man caused immense confusion in a local council after demanding help dealing with a frog he felt was harassing him.

The unnamed individual called Crawley Borough Council to ask for pest control to be sent to his home.

At this time, the frog was said to be waiting at the bottom of the man's stairs, from where he suggested it was harassing him.

"We advised him it would probably hop off on its own, but he was adamant the frog was harassing him," a spokesman for the council explained.

He refused to consider that he would be capable of removing the frog himself.

It is not the only time the local authority has been on the end of a bizarre call, as it also revealed a recent case involved a man ringing to ask for money to buy a train ticket so that he could attend a funeral.
