A taxi driver raised over £5,000 for Help for Heroes by holding two charity concerts.
Phillip Welsby – who has collected over £20,000 in the past seven years for benevolent causes – held a Tom Jones and Neil Diamond night as part of the initiative, the Shropshire Star reports.
He noted the reason he chose to assist a military charity this time around was because "some soldiers who come back from war find it difficult to get jobs and hopefully this bit of money will help them".
Mr Welsby has a number of other fundraising events planned, including a Take That tribute night – and he hopes to raise much more money for good causes in the future.
In the past, he has helped out the Severn Hospice, Diabetes UK and West Midlands Air Ambulance.
Earlier this month, Giuseppe De Vita shaved his beard and cut his hair for the first time in a year after undertaking the challenge to raise money for Help for Heroes, the John O'Groats Journal reported.
