Cat takes on alligator for its lunch

Who'd win a fight between a cat and an alligator?

I know it seems like a silly question, as common sense would dictate that the latter creature would clearly be victorious in such a battle.

However, footage has emerged from the Cajun Pride Swamp Tour in New Orleans, US, that suggests the duel would be much closer than many people think.

It shows a brave moggy taking on an alligator as the pair quarrel over who will get to eat lunch.

Maybe the cat was starving, as it attacks the reptile with its paws of fury and refuses to back down to the massive beast.

It's pretty impressive to see such a small creature so fearless, but the alligator does eventually get to eat the food.

Nonetheless, the four-legged friend can hold its head up high after showing plenty of courage and I'm sure it'll get something to eat from somewhere.
