Cat calms crying baby

Nobody enjoys listening to crying babies and so parents try a range of actions and movements to calm them down.

However, it seems that they have missed the trick somewhat as a family from Canada have uploaded a video onto the internet that shows their pet cat silencing their child Connar.

Aaron Grant's moggy Stewie can be seen stroking his paw across the youngster's head and who would have known that this appears to be just the thing that keeps him from erupting into tears.

After Connar stops whaling, the creature continues to pat his forehead and this stops him from gurning again.

It has been said for a while that pets can have a calming influence on a person, but I have never seen anything like this.

Who knows, all mothers may choose to have a cat around in the future for when their little ones start to cry.
