Three friends from Caerphilly have completed a 190-mile charity cycle to raise funds for Help for Heroes.
Tony Griffiths – who is 25 years older than the other two team members – Jason Howe and John Hobbs completed the challenge on August 24th and have received over £2,000 for the good cause so far, the Caerphilly Observer reports.
All three of the lads taking part had to train for three months in order to get in shape ahead of the ride, which saw them go from Caernarfon Castle to Caerphilly Castle.
Mr Hobbs admitted they had to deal with some awful weather as rain poured down for the majority of time they were on the bikes and was pleased they were able to finish in two days.
The trio – who have been dubbed the Castle Kings – were assisted by another friend called John Lewis, who provided support throughout the trip.
