A charity stands to gain after one man set off in pursuit of achieving a huge cycling feat by riding from Land's End to John O'Groats and back again.
The Oxford Mail has told how Josh Parsons is cycling the 1,800-mile route in just seven days in a bid to raise money for Help for Heroes.
Mr Parsons, of Bicester, will travel about 250 miles each day on his bike named Isabelle until he reaches the extreme north of Scotland. He will then turn around and return to Cornwall.
"I'm obsessed with cycling. It probably started when I was 11 when I first got my hands on a bike," he said.
The avid cyclist added he cannot stand his bike being off the road, as this forces him on to the bus instead.
While the 1,800-mile route may sound daunting, Mr Parsons already has experience of cycling 40 miles a day to and from work.
