Australian Street View shot shows couple ‘having sex’

People around the world have got used to unusual and embarrassing situations being captured by Google's Street View cameras, but nobody could have been prepared for one image taken in Australia.

The search engine's feature was recently found to contain a photograph of a young couple having sex beside a road.

Internet users soon discovered the image, which was taken next to Dukes Highway and shows the pair appearing to make love over their silver car.

However, a web browser going under the name 'benxology' has since claimed responsibility for the incident and suggested it was simply a stunt.

"That's me and my missus. We saw the Google car on the way to Adelaide a couple of years ago. I sped up, overtook the car then posed with a Corona in hand," he explained.

It will certainly not be the last time people are caught in a compromising situation on Street View, but in this case at least it seems it may have been entirely deliberate.
