Three former soldiers are going to cover 6,500 miles as part of a charity motorbike trek.

All of the money raised by the challenge – which is going to take the team two weeks to complete and will see them travel through 20 countries – will go towards Help for Heroes (H4H), the Sun reports.

Mark Cavendish, who is a former World Champion road racer, told the paper: "I urge anyone to give what they can for this mission, it's a gruelling trip and a seriously big effort. H4H is a highly deserving charity."

He added he is delighted to have been given the chance to meet such a nice group of blokes.

Prince Harry and David Cameron are among the other famous names to have thrown their backing behind the campaign.

As part of the gruelling ride, the three men will track across Europe, through Georgia and around the Black Sea.
