Hundreds of pounds has been raised for Help for Heroes by officers in the Lancashire Police force.
A cheque for £1064.72 was handed over to the charity – which aids injured soldiers – after months of fundraising activity.
Staff working in the Eastern Division of the force – covering Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley – took part in a range of events over the last year.
Between June and August, Britain's police are hoping to raise a collective £1 million for the Help for Heroes drive, which was first launched back in 2007.
Earlier in the month, the Derbyshire Times reported on fundraising efforts for the charity by a group of novice cyclists, with a final total of more than £3,500 collected by the group, who rode over 250 miles around the UK.
Norman Fazackerley led the team and said: "It's a good cause and you can't do enough for the people who are serving and those who come home and need care and attention."
