A group of divers have decided to support soldiers who have been injured at war by taking on an unusual challenge.
More than 50 members of Barrascuba Diving School will participate in an underwater ironing event to raise money for Help for Heroes, Peterborough Today reports.
Paul Morgan, a member of the school, said: "We try to do charity events every year and we thought this year we would choose this worthwhile cause."
Pairs of divers will don their wetsuits and grab their laundry baskets on April 9th for the 24-hour challenge.
Although the irons will be disconnected from the mains, the participants must keep the action going constantly for the duration of the event.
Meanwhile, the same charity is expected to receive a boost from the Colchester and East Essex Cricket Club, which is due to host a ball in aid of Help for Heroes, the Essex County Standard has stated.
