A special rugby match is being held to try to raise money for soldiers injured while fighting overseas for their country.
Dinas Powys RFC is hosting a past youth versus present youth contest on December 27th, with kick off taking place at 13:00 GMT – and proceeds are to be handed to the Help for Heroes charity, Barry and District News reports.
The game is open to all ex youth team players who are welcome to join in "if they are up to it after Christmas festivities", the newspaper noted.
A grand prize draw will be staged in the clubhouse following the tie, with the winner being chosen at 16:00 and tickets costing £1 for a book of five tickets.
The first prize in the draw is £100, while a number of other items – which have been donated by various businesses within the local community – are also up for grabs.
Fundraiser Andrew Clarke recently generated more than £7,500 for Help for Heroes after competing in the Jungle Marathon in Brazil, the Penarth Times reported.
