Single soldiers wishing to give online dating a try should endeavour to upload a photograph that is both recent and of good quality, it has been suggested.
According to Independent.ie, few profiles will receive much attention if a decent picture is not used, so people might want to either ask a friend to take a snapshot especially for the service, or find an image taken in the last six months.
The website noted the individual whose profile it is, should be the only person in the frame – and pictures where they are not the centre of attention must be avoided.
It explained: "Front-on shots are the way to go, but remember that a good travel shot may give you and a potential date something to chat about."
ADI News recently claimed the number of people currently trying to locate a prospective partner via the world wide web has rocketed into the millions.
