A new sexy armed forces-themed calendar has hit the shelves in an effort to generate funds for brave soldiers.

Babes from Barry have taken part in a 1950s-inspired shoot, which sees them posing in skimpy military outfits – with proceeds from the items being donated to Help for Heroes, Barry and District News reports.

The Doing It Military Style project has been aided by Kemble Airfield, which has made it possible for the girls to be photographed with the world's only working Spitfire plane, as well as B52s.

Creative director Dawn Harper noted: "What we aimed for was a professional-looking calendar that was different – tasteful but cheeky – and told a bit of a story."

She added the ladies wanted to express their gratitude for the work being done by the nation's soldiers.

The Daily Star recently reported lads mag favourite and Real Hustle presenter Jessica-Jane Clement is to host a Royal Air Force charity bash that will raise cash for Help for Heroes.
