Paying a woman compliments could be a great way to begin a date for single soldiers who have found a potential partner over the web, it has been suggested.

Writing for The Frisky, Wendy Atterberry noted making a lady feel attractive can help start a conversation on a first encounter.

The relationship expert claimed girls put a lot of effort into looking good – especially when meeting somebody for the first time – and so guys can appear kind and sensitive by acknowledging that.

However, the specialist warned: "Stay away from complimenting her body on the early dates, which can come off as sleazy. Besides her figure, think about what appeals to you about her appearance."

Pointing out a woman's attractive eyes or warm smile could be a smart move, Ms Atterberry added.
