A golf competition has been set up in Beck Row to raise funds for hero soldiers wounded while serving their country.
The Bandits Golf Society from the Kings Head public house have organised the event to be held on Sunday September 19th, the Newmarket Journal reports.
Money raised from the fundraiser will be given to the Help for Heroes campaign and tee off on the West Course at the Suffolk Gold Centre will take place at 11:30 BST.
Mark Chambers, organiser of the get-together, said: "As a small local golf society the bandits have a charity golf day each year and this time supporting Help for Heroes was the charity the 32 members voted for."
The event will cost participants £25 to enter and there will be a barbecue in the evening.
Nicola Gregson, whose brother Mike Gregson is a Royal Marine, is to cycle 350 miles to raise cash for the charity and her journey will take her through parts of the Netherlands and Belgium.
