Single soldiers should feel confident when approaching online dating, it has been suggested.
Writing for YourTango, Stephanie Castillo noted people are prepared to delve deeper into the practice as any stigma once attached to the system has long since vanished.
The expert observed friends and family are more supportive than ever regarding looking for love on the world wide web and are often found to be actively encouraging people to enter the virtual dating market.
"Dating sites are affordable, easily accessible and cater to you and the person you want to meet, while often playing matchmaker for you," she explained.
Ms Castillo added current uncertainty regarding the economic climate means most singles cannot afford to hit the pubs and clubs in the hope they might bump into someone who takes their fancy.
A contributor for Here is the City recently advised online suitors to try and arrange a date in person with an individual they find attractive in order to speed up the courting process.
