A wristband campaign has been launched in Lincolnshire to show support for local troops.
The accessories have been designed to help raise funds and drum up encouragement for the 2nd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment before they are deployed to Afghanistan, This is Grimsby reports.
Black and gold in colour, the items bear the group’s nickname – the Poachers – as well as the word ‘Afghanistan’.
Sergeant Nathan Cass, a worker in the regiment’s recruitment office in Lincoln, noted: "There are lots of family and friends who live in the area, so whenever they see anything with the Poachers on it, they show their support."
The bands cost £2 and are available from the Armed Forces Career office in the city’s High Street.
It was recently reported army mum Patricia Hall has set up the Supporting the Returnees of our Nation’s Guards campaign after hearing of her son’s experiences when fighting overseas.
