A group of police officers have got on their bikes in an effort to raise funds for solders.
The team from Thames Valley Police took part in a 300-mile round journey from the Gherkin building in London to the Paris, getworkingham.co.uk reports.
They arrived at the Eiffel Tower following a four-day trip that culminated in the circling of the Arc de Triomphe.
Participants managed to gather £700 at a Tesco store and a further £600 at a Sainsbury’s supermarket in an attempt to raise money for Help for Heroes.
Regarding the excursion, team member detective inspector Greg Elphick said: "If you’re ever offered a chance to do something like this, grab it with both hands. A truly life-affirming, friend-discovering, challenging but oh-so-rewarding journey."
It was recently reported that footballers from West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace had helped to raise more than £9,000 in an online shirt auction in aid of Help for Heroes.
