A man has seen his sound equipment worth £3,000 seized by the local council after neighbours complained of him playing Celine Dion too loudly.
Gareth Davies was targeted by Medway Council following reports that he was blasting out music at extreme volume.
Someone got in touch with the local authority after he was heard enjoying a particularly loud rendition of Dion's hit My Heart Will Go On.
Other tracks that caused concern among local people included Boom Shack-A-Lak by Apache Indian and You've Got A Friend In Me from Toy Story.
After seeing his iPod, speakers, 3D television and PlayStation 3 seized, Mr Davies said: "It felt like it was a witch hunt."
Peter Hicks, the portfolio holder for community safety at the council, said everyone has the right to a peaceful existence, adding: "Anyone who blasts out music or creates other noise nuisance should let this be a warning to them."
