A group of youngsters in Dorset have come together to show off their martial arts skills and raise money for Help for Heroes.
The Black Belt Academy in Verwood put on a 1,000 techniques event, which attracted about 30 children aged five and above, reports the Daily Echo.
Simon Bushby, who runs the academy, said his experiences in adventure racing, where he also took part in events designed to raise money for Help for Heroes, led him to believe a martial arts competition could have the desired effect.
"I thought it was a worthwhile cause to do something for. I got in touch with the local branch and it went from there," he stated.
A graduation and presentation day will be held at the end of March, with children set to receive honours and the final amount of money raised due to be revealed.
