Help for Heroes has been handed £3,500 following the completion of a charity ball in Bradford.
The Yorkshire Region of the Building and Engineering Services Association (B&ES) held its annual gathering at the Cedar Court Hotel in the city recently, reports the Bradford Telegraph & Argus.
Jim Marner, Yorkshire chairman and vice-president of the association, said he was very proud to be able to make such a contribution to a worthy cause.
"I was delighted by the overwhelming generosity shown by my fellow B&ES members and also by the manufacturers and distributors who supported our event."
The money raised was generated through a raffle and has how been handed over to Lucy Wray, regional Band of Brothers and Band of Sisters co-ordinator at Help for Heroes' Phoenix House Personal Recovery Centre in Catterick, North Yorkshire.
He was given a tour of the facility during his visit to present the cheque to the charity.
