Susan Robinson and her partner John Hay from Hartlepool are celebrating a significant lottery win this week, with the pair planning to support a number of charitable causes with their winnings, including Help for Heroes.
The pair scooped £7.5 million after matching all six numbers on last Saturday's (January 11th) Lotto draw and are now looking forward to a life of luxury and also helping many of the good causes that are close to their hearts, the Hartlepool Mail reports.
Help for Heroes, WaterAid, Save The Children, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and a local hospice will all receive of portion of the couple's windfall, while the family is also planning generous gifts to friends and loved ones.
Mr Hay told the news provider: "I checked the numbers three times … I couldn't believe it so I sat down and then checked again.
"It was then I realised we'd won £7.5 million."
