A student is hoping to raise a significant amount of money for two charities that are close to his heart after completing a rowing challenge.
William Nunn from Bishop's Waltham is supporting Smile4Wessex, a children's neurosciences centre campaign run from Southampton General Hospital, as well as Combat Stress, reports the Southern Daily Echo.
Combat Stress focuses on helping veterans who have left the armed forces with mental health problems.
Mr Nunn spent 24 hours on a rowing machine last week in an effort to encourage people to make a donation to the causes.
"This has been such a big event to work towards. Every time I see that number go up it pushes me and keeps me motivated to reach my goal," he said.
So far, he has raised around £762, although there is still time to add more to his fund before he hands over the money to the two charities in question.
