Taking part in just one gruelling marathon is enough to confine most people to the sofa for a couple of days so entertaining the thought of running more than 50 kilometres a day for 30 days must be especially exhausting.
But that’s exactly what Andy Seery plans to do to raise money for the Help for Heroes charity, the Sun reports.
However, the 42-year-old policeman has cast aside his jogging trousers and trainers and will be running each of the 30 marathons dressed as an ostrich!
Mr Seery says after suffering from a spinal injury last November, he was treated alongside wounded members of the armed forces who had returned from the frontline.
"I got to work with the injured soldiers coming back from Afghanistan and I just wanted to give something back to them," he explains.
Some 600 runners taking part in Sunday’s (April 25th) London Marathon managed to raise a staggering £1 million for Help for Heroes, which will be put towards treating troops who have been injured in battle.
