With Halloween just around the corner, one garden centre has taken the decision to sell broomsticks and donate the profits to charity.
Help for Heroes will receive a donation from the Lakeside Plant and Garden Centre in Telford once the festivities are over, reports the Shropshire Star.
And it is not only Halloween that will contribute to the coffers, as the store also plans to run a Christmas grotto from which the proceeds will be handed over to the charity.
Kevin Turley from the Priorslee centre said: "When we bought our Halloween stock from a wholesaler, they donated approximately 50 broomsticks which we are selling for £1 each in aid of the charity."
The garden centre has a track record of selling broomsticks, as last year it managed to shift 25.
People can get hold of their own easily enough as the centre is open seven days a week, with buyers knowing they are doing their bit for a very worthy cause.
