Prioritise profile photo, online daters advised

There is plenty to remember when signing up to an online dating site – and one priority should always be the photographs you choose to show.

In many cases, a profile photograph will be the first impression you set to prospective dates, so selecting the right one is key.

Simone Paget has written a blog for the London Free Press in which she detailed some of the things men should avoid in their snaps if they are to impress women.

She noted one of the most common mistakes is to take a photo of yourself in a mirror, as this can give the impression you do not have much of a social life and friends who will capture a shot of you.

Another tip is to wear some smart clothes that will appeal to girls, so avoid shirtless snaps or photographs that reveal tattoos.

Finally, she suggested omitting any images you may have of yourself with any scantily-clad females.
