McDonald’s ride through customer given fine

Police have issued a fine to a woman who took her horse into a Manchester McDonald's restaurant.

They were called to the branch on Bury New Road last Saturday after her animal defecated on the floor of the fast-food chain.

She was initially refused service when she rode the beast into the drive through lane as she attempted to place her order.

A spokesperson from McDonald's said that the incident caused "distress to customers and disruption for the restaurant".

"The health and safety of our customers and staff is our top priority and for this reason we are unable to serve pedestrians, bicycle riders or customers on horseback through the drive through," they added.

It is still unclear whether the horse's dirty protest was before or after eating a Big Mac, but one thing's for sure, it definitely was not Lovin' It.
