An enterprising plumber from Lincolnshire has shot to fame as the creator of the world's fastest fully-functioning toilet.

Colin Furze, 33, from Stamford, has put together a high-speed lavatory that can be flushed on the move and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 55mph.

His innovative toilet is positioned on a 140cc motorbike engine and runs on petrol, with a button on the handlebar allowing it to be flushed at any time.

"It is quite scary to drive as the water in the toilet makes it very top heavy and I get wet when I go over any bumps. The toilet seat is also quite slippery," Mr Furze explained.

He added that other problems include the device being rather tricky to steer, while it is sometimes difficult just to stay on board.

Other features of the high-speed toilet range from a towel rail to four electronic gears for the ultimate motoring experience.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801589863-ADNFCR
