A group of people in Scotland have come together to bake cakes in order to raise money for military charity Help for Heroes.
The Burnside residents offered baked goods at the ACE Place Nursery, which hosted the event as part of the Colossal Cake Sale scheme, reports the Rutherglen Reformer.
In total, some £479.60 was raised by the good-hearted bakers, coming on the back of a similar event in March that amounted to £363.62.
Ingrid Naismith of Help for Heroes said: "It was great having the nursery involved and it went really well on the day. There were plenty of fantastic cakes provided and there were some colossal scones too that tasted great."
As well as cakes, there was a range of biscuits, jams, chutneys and savouries on offer at the sale, ensuring people of all tastes had something to get stuck into.
Ms Naismith added there had been wonderful support from the local community on the day.
