While online dating has become entirely normal and extremely popular in recent times, there are still one or two aspects that many people might find a little embarrassing.
Of course, the key is to create a profile and add photographs that will not draw any negative glances or doubts from onlookers.
But even playing the perfect online dating game is still not enough to avoid some issues, such as friends, family members and colleagues stumbling across a profile.
Relationships writer Gena Kaufman admitted in a recent piece for Glamour that she is mortified by the idea of people she knows coming across her profile, despite not being at all embarrassed about online dating.
She noted that she is definitely not alone when it comes to this, with a person she knows finding her page leading to her feeling like she should "crawl under a rock and just commit to being single forever".
