A news channel has landed itself in hot water after selecting footage that focuses on a woman's breasts to accompany a piece it broadcast about the history of women's rights.
Fox CT, which is affiliated to the Fox Network, was running a clip to mark Women's History Month recently when the poor editing selection came to light.
Camera shots lasting about 15 seconds were seen to zoom in on women's chests as they walked around a town centre.
Writing on Twitter, Fox CT said: "Fox CT apologises for today's file footage error. We will continue to recognise great contributions of women in CT and around the world."
Gaia Barbara McDermott uploaded the footage to social networking site Facebook and is quoted by Metro as saying she believed the station should say sorry for its mistake, adding women should not be seen as objects by anybody in the public eye and their breasts should not be a cause for television attention.
