A man from Yorkshire is to complete a huge cycling challenge in order to raise cash for Help for Heroes (H4H).
Keir Tweddle is to tackle the Big Battlefield Bike Ride in May, with the route taking him through northern France where there are numerous memorials to fallen soldiers from World War I and II.
The Halifax Courier has told how Mr Tweddle has already raised about £1,400 for the good cause and is hoping to increase that prior to the ride.
"It is for a good cause and it's a challenge for me. I enjoy cycling but have done nothing to this extent, but thought I would give it a go," he stated.
In the region of 250 cyclists will get in their saddles for the ride, meaning thousands of pounds will be donated to H4H.
The route is expected to take six days to complete and will end at the Cenotaph in central London.
