‘Have fun’ when looking for Mr or Mrs Right

People need to make sure they are open-minded when it comes to meeting potential partners.

There is no point in signing up for online or speed dating if individuals are not willing to give the mediums a chance.

Instead, individuals should recognise they are unlikely to find Mr or Mrs Right on their first date, but rather they will have to meet a few suitors before hitting the jackpot.

SAIT Polytechnic – a Canadian academic institution – noted dating events have proved to be very popular because of the number of people on campus.

Maja Vidak, assistant events and programming manager at SAIT Students' Association, told the Weal: "They are more about having fun and meeting new people. They have been very successful, with lots of matches made."

The beauty of this form of dating is that it allows people to see the vocal, tone and nonverbal message when they are talking to others.
