28 girls cram into a Mini for world record

How many people do you think could squeeze into a Mini?

The car's are known for being quite small, but this has not stopped 28 gymnasts from Sussex cramming into the vehicle.

So impressive was the feat that the group now holds the Guinness World Record for Most People Crammed In A Mini.

Organiser Dani Maynard said: "While we have not quite been able to fit any of the girls into the Mini's glove box, there is a surprising amount of space to utilise."

Some of the females involved in the challenge already held the previous best mark after a similar effort last year.

It was part of the eighth annual Guinness World Records Day, which sees people from across the globe try and break as many wacky records as possible.

These include Longest Note On A Didgeridoo, Fastest 100m Running On All Fours and the Heaviest Weight Lifted By Both Eye Sockets.
