Armageddon is coming as brewers make 65% beer

Who fancies a pint of Armageddon?

The beer, which is brewed in Scotland by Brewmeister, comes with a world-leading alcohol-by-volume of 65 per cent.

It means that if you were to have one pint of it, you would be consuming the equivalent of twice the recommended weekly intake for a man.

Retailing at £40 a bottle, this beverage is certainly not for the faint-hearted and it would take a very brave – or stupid – person to drink it all night.

Brewery founder Lewis Shand stated: "The phrase 'delivers a punch' doesn't quite cut it – delivers a supersonic charged explosion is probably more appropriate."

However, despite its high alcohol content, the makers insist it is still a very tasty drink, as it is malty, hoppy and slightly sweet.

I'm not too sure if it will catch on, but I'd love to watch someone drink it to see what effect it would have on them.
