Dating coach David Wygant observed too many individuals rush into a new liaison without considering whether or not it is the best thing for them.
He added it is best for those who have broken up with someone to take some time for themselves.
"One of the things I suggest people to do is to take a mini-vacation. Go away by yourself, go somewhere quiet, read, write, reflect, feel and get out all your emotions," Mr Wygant remarked.
The expert went on to note unless people are in a happy place they will not be able to fully commit to a relationship.
For those keen to meet up with individuals, a snappy profile is essential in order to incentivise them, while everyone should also make sure any message they send is free from spelling mistakes.
