A number of army cadets in Winsford will undertake a charity run in honour of Help for Heroes.
Michael Lee – whose father is in the Royal Marines – has so far persuaded 13 recruits to take part in the challenge, which will be held on May 19th, the Winsford Guardian reports.
All of those who compete in the 4.2-mile jog will do so in the same uniform as the British armed forces.
The teenager, who has to overcome his asthma in order to take part, told the paper: "I am determined to do this event. This cash is going towards injured armed servicemen and women who have been shot or wounded."
Michael observed his father has acted as an inspiration to him.
He is also calling on everyone from the town to join in as he seeks to raise as much money as possible for the military charity.
