A man in the US is suing BMW and seatmaker Corbin-Pacific after he was left with a continuous erection as a result of taking a four-hour round trip on a motorbike.
The male claims the ridge-like seat he had to use has left him in this condition, which is now into its 20th month.
Known as priapism, it means his erect penis has failed to return to a flaccid state even after ejaculation.
In the lawsuit Wolf v BMW, the man is looking for lost wages, medical expenses, emotional distress and general damage to make up for the misery he has suffered.
This persistent and painful erection may have caused him a few problems, but it is undeniably a funny story.
It must make the trivial aspects of life – such as going to the shops for groceries or paying his bills – very hard indeed and I hope for his sake it gets sorted soon.
