Workshy Austrian cuts off foot to avoid employment

An Austrian man has shown tremendous dedication towards being unemployed.

The 56-year-old was apparently worried about having to go back to work so much that he cut off his left foot with a mechanical saw, Austrian broadcaster ORF reports.

He then threw the limb into a heated oven and hobbled into his garage as he waited on an ambulance to come.

Local police chief Franz Fasching stated: "'The foot was taken the hospital but it was so badly burned that it cannot be sewn back on."

The man had been due to undergo a health check with the labour department only hours after he chopped off the leg.

It's a particularly gory way to stop yourself from having to work and I bet he regretted his move the next day when he tried to get up.

Apart from anything else, the poor sod could have ended up bleeding to death if he wasn't careful.
